To promote the common good and general welfare of the members of the Southern New Jersey community by focusing on the orderly development of the commercial/industrial and residential climate of Southern New Jersey, ensuring that the highest standards of quality are maintained, mainly through educational, public relations and promotional events.

Businesses Committed to South Jersey (BCSJ) was originally founded in 1970 as the Third Friday Friars. As the group expanded, so did its focus on Burlington County and the name changed to Businesses Committed to Burlington County or BC2. The group continued to grow and with a broadened reach throughout all of the Southern New Jersey region, in 2016 the organization became BCSJ.
