Businesses Committed to South Jersey (BCSJ) welcomed a sold-out crowd to The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill on October 15, 2026 for its Women’s Powerhouse Panel, sponsored by Wolf Commercial Real Estate (WCRE).
The luncheon brought together four accomplished women leaders for a conversation about leadership, career growth, challenging expectations, and what success looks like at different stages of a career.
Moderated by BCSJ member Marya Liebezeit of RE Marketing Solutions, incoming President of CREW, the panel featured:
- Keisha Stephenson Taylor | Dr. Keisha Stephenson Taylor Consulting Services
- Jessica Breslow | CEO, PJW Restaurant Group
- Julie Herb | Real Estate & Development, Virtua Health
- Anne Klein | Managing Director, Newmark
Redefining Success and Leading Authentically
One of the conversation’s central themes was how the definition of success changes over time. As careers progress, success can mean becoming a trusted advisor, mentoring others, celebrating their achievements, and giving back.
Anne Klein spoke about the importance of being a trusted advisor and embracing individuality. Keisha Stephenson Taylor shared her experience of being told to sit back and be quiet. Knowing she had ideas, insight, and intel to contribute, she chose to speak up. Her experience highlighted the importance of finding your voice and recognizing the value you bring.
The discussion reinforced that effective leadership doesn’t require fitting a particular mold. Confidence, authenticity, and the willingness to challenge expectations can all shape a career.
Adapting, Empowering, and Growing
The panel also explored the importance of adapting to change, empowering teams, and creating workplace cultures where people feel valued.
Julie Herb reflected on navigating the changes brought on by COVID, including empowering her team to work remotely. Her experience offered an example of how leadership sometimes means rethinking traditional approaches and trusting your people.
Jessica Breslow discussed the impact of female leadership and mentorship at PJW Restaurant Group, sharing how much it means to employees to see a woman in a leadership role, particularly those working their way up through the organization. She also highlighted the importance of workplace culture, including creating an environment where employees can genuinely say, “I love this place.”
Across the conversation, the panelists emphasized the value of mentoring other women, developing strong interpersonal skills, and building relationships across generations in the workforce. Networking and connecting with others can be just as important to career growth as the work itself. The discussion also touched on work-life balance and the need to adapt as industries change.
Together, these perspectives reinforced the importance of staying open to new ideas, continuing to learn, and helping others succeed along the way.
